Working principle of solar street light
The working principle of solar street light is to convert solar energy into electricity through solar panels and store it in batteries. At night, the controller supplies electricity to LED lamps to realize lighting function.
Detailed working principle
Solar energy conversion to electricity
During the day, solar panels receive solar radiation and use the photovoltaic effect to convert light energy into DC electricity. This process is the core link of solar street lights, and the efficiency of the panels directly affects the overall performance of the system.
Electricity storage
The converted electricity is stored in the battery through the charge and discharge controller. The function of the controller is to protect the battery from overcharge or over discharge and extend its service life.
Electricity supply lighting
At night, when the light intensity drops to the set value (such as 10lux) or reaches the preset time, the controller automatically starts and supplies the electricity in the battery to the LED lamps to realize the lighting function.
Intelligent control
Modern solar street lights are usually equipped with intelligent control systems, which support both light control and time control modes. The light control mode automatically adjusts the light switch according to the ambient brightness, while the time control mode controls the lighting according to the preset time.
